This was probably one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen in professional basketball. After a long summer of Shaq talking through the media about how cheap the hack-a-shaq is, the Spurs decided to makea  joke out of it.

Five seconds after tip off of the Spurs and Suns opening game, Michael Finley fouled Shaq. O’Neal was confused to say the least and when he looked over at Coach Popp on the bench, he started laughing as he got two thumbs up. The Spurs coaching staff was laughing about it and Shaq smiled. It lightened the mood a bit but the Spurs ended up losing at home. Perhaps they should’ve continued the fouling!
