Congratulations Lakers fans, I’m proud to announce that the Lakers have apparently hopefully set their final roster. As the Lakers website announced, the 2008 roster is locked in and the time has come for the team picture.

Although the roster still has one open spot, perhaps for the likes of Ira Newble or even Gerald Green, the picture was snapped. The 14 men in jerseys, the coaching staff, trainers, and owner with son Jerry Buss and Jim Buss appeared in the photo.

The picture however is what I care least about, what I particularly enjoyed from this video is the quality of the bonding between these guys. It’s been commonly thought that a team of 14 men is going to have it’s share of problems and certain guys aren’t going to get along. The Lakers current roster seems like its bonded pretty nicely though.

I was quite excited to see that Andrew Bynum, Pau Gasol, Trevor Ariza, and Chris Mihm were all present and all appeared to be operating like healthy individuals. Ariza’s walking boot was nowhere to be found, Bynum looked like he gained a bit of weight, but thats to be expected, Mihm looked perfectly fine, and Pau was looking good as well.

Everyone always mentions that Ronny Turiaf is one of the key guys in keeping the Lakers chemistry together. he is always smiling, always working hard, and always determined with plenty of energy. Fortunately, we finally get to see the goofy side of another Laker who has always seemed somewhat conservative, Vladimir Radmanovic. If you watch this video, at right around 55 seconds or so, Radman busts out the infamous “Borat” line of “niiiiccceeee.”
