The Dallas Mavericks are still trying to figure out how to acquire Jason Kidd. The deal appeared to be done a few days ago and then suddenly Devean George decided to use his full Larry Bird rights and veto the trade. The numbers for the Mavs side to match Kidd’s salary obviously no longer matched up and the trade could not be completed.

Mark Cuban and his staff are working to get George and his agent Mark Bartelstein to sign off on the trade however have been unsuccessful thus far. If George does not agree to the trade then they will have to do everything possible to convince Van Horn to come out of retirement and work the New Jersey Nets.

If the trade goes through, you have to believe that the Pistons and Celtics will be the only teams left with All Stars. The All Star game will have to be over 25 years of age vs under 25 years of age. Theres a thought, any comments? Any other ideas of how to set up the All Star game to make it a bit more exciting?
