It’s official! Sasha Vujacic has resigned with the Los Angeles Lakers for an additional three years. Enjoy!

Sasha Vujacic has agreed to terms with the Los Angeles Lakers for three years and $15 million.

With my complex calculations performed on my handy dandy scientific calculator, I have arrived at a conclusion. Vujacic will receive $5 million each season!!!

Since we lost Ronny Turiaf to the Golden State Warriors it became a priority to at least retain Sasha. While we all thought that $17 million for four years for Turiaf was too much, $15 million over three years for Sasha is reasonable, especially at the rate he has been progressing.

Sasha will come into the 2008-2009 NBA season as a key reserve off the bench for the Los Angeles Lakers and may even cause some changes in the starting line up. Perhaps the Lakers best chance to win is to move Kobe to the small forward spot and let Sasha play shooting guard.

Expect an article in the very near future regarding next year’s potential line ups.
