Tonight Is Pau-er HourBy Daniel Sagal on June 3rd, 2010 | No Comments
That’s right, you read it correctly: Tonight Is Pau-er Hour. Hopefully you have all had the pleasure of drinking during a Lakers game (we, here at LA Ball Talk, do not condone drinking and driving; or drinking too much) but the question remains, have you ever drank the right way? What is the right way you ask? It’s simple. You drink with a purpose. You drink as though you are in the ga... -
I Hate The Texas Two StepBy Daniel Sagal on January 13th, 2010 | No Comments
This is always the toughest road trip, or at least one of the most anticipated. Most years, the Lakers depart from Los Angeles on a three game road trip to face the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, and Dallas Mavericks. This year, I suppose we are slightly more fortunate as the NBA only scheduled for the Lakers to play the black and white and the blue and white, leave the red out of this. Anywa... -
2009 Lakers New Years ResolutionsBy Daniel Sagal on January 2nd, 2009 | 1 Comment

Trevor Ariza – Trevor joined the Lakers midway through last season when th... -

Andrew BynumLast Season: The first three months of the 2007-08 NBA season were Andrew Bynum’s coming out party. Period. Before hurting his knee on Jan. 11 against Memphis, Bynum had been averaging 13.1 points, 10.2 boards and 2.06 blocks in 28.8 minutes, appearing in 35 games and starting the final 25. More impressively, Bynum had been getting better not just by the month but by the day, puttin... -
DJ Mbenga Re-signedBy Daniel Sagal on September 26th, 2008 | No Comments
i wish I had more information to report on this but unfortunately this is all I know: DJ Mbenga has been re-signed by the Los Angeles Lakers. Mbenga was a big part of filling the gap at center last season while Andrew Bynum continued his rehabilitation. The Lakers coaching staff worked hard to familiarize Mbenga with the offense but his lack of a shooting touch really proved to be an issue. By the...
