Kobe Surgery?By Daniel Sagal on February 15th, 2008 | No Comments
Kobe must decide whether he will undergo surgery on his right shooting hand. He has been diagnosed by a professional hand doctor with a torn ligament and bone spur in his pinkie finger. If Kobe were to undergo surgery he would have approximately 6-8 weeks of recovery essentially putting him out of play until about the playoffs. The real question remains whether the Lakers can stay afloat in the pl... -

Los Angeles Lakers vs Detroit Pistons – Finals RematchBy Daniel Sagal on January 31st, 2008 | No Comments
The Los Angeles Lakers spent the first third of the season atop the Western Conference looking like championship contenders. The injury to Andrew Bynum has derailed this team from winning the conference to staying in the playoff hunt, however that is sure to change again once Bynum returns. With five to six weeks remaining until the anticipated return of our star center, the Lakers must work hard ... -
Grammy Awards Force Los Angeles Lakers OutBy Daniel Sagal on January 30th, 2008 | No Comments
The Grammy Awards are back. The Lakers have been booted from Staples Center (together with the Clippers and Kings) in order to prepare for the 50th annual Grammy Awards. Apparently, its more important to force the Lakers to struggle on a nine game road trip lasting almost three full weeks so that Beyonce and Justin Timberlake can thrill millions on national tv. OK, I guess I kinda of see the point... -

Tonight, the Lakers face off against the suddenly not so struggling Knicks. These two teams met last month right before Christmas in New York and the Lakers came out with a win after surrendering a twenty point lead in the second half. This time, the Lakers are no longer sitting pretty atop the Western conference and truly can’t afford any more losses to mediocre teams. The loss to the Cavs on S...
