The Los Angeles Lakers have announced a trade involving little used back up center Chris Mihm.

In their second deal over the last two years, the Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to swap Chris Mihm for a conditional 2nd round pick in the 2013 NBA draft.

Chris Mihm played well for the Lakers in 2005 when Shaq was no longer a part of the team, but slowly lost his spot as Andrew Bynum saw more playing time, Kwame Brown took over his minutes, and all of his injuries managed to keep him out of the game.

He has had severe ankle issues over the last few years and has not been able to find his place with the Lakers due to this. Of course the acquisition of Pau Gasol didn’t help him much either.

Either way, the Lakers now have one open roster spot that will potentially be filled at some point later this season by a veteran free agent released from his current team.

We wish Chris Mihm lots of luck and hope that he manages to find his place in the league again.

O, and we also hope that he avoids getting into any more scruffles that get him traded!

If the big man that they pick up is Mikki Moore that would be good. That would give them their dept back with another big that can play the 4 and the 5. They will also be able to rest Pau and Bynum in the rotation with Moore and Odom coming off the bench. Moore also has the energy to run with the fast up and down play of the second unit, and the length to play the half court triagle set.
