As always, the Lakers are one of the more discussed teams of the league. With the Hollywood theme consistently surrounding this team, there is always drama to present. With all the anxiety built up after the horrendous loss to the Spurs, the Lakers are prepared to take on the Orlando Magic tonight.

    • Lucky for the Lakers, Luke Walton and Sasha Vujacic are listed as probable for tonight’s game. Let’s hope they can be there to play some defense on the high scoring Magic.
    • While we’re on injury discussion, Lamar Odom returned to the Lakers for their Texas back-to-back. He referred to himself as Humpty-Dumpty from the children’s nursery rhyme.
    • JE Skeets of Ball Don’t Lie takes it to the next level with this awesome Lamar Humpty Dumpty picture.
    • After the previous match up against the Magic in Orlando, Kobe has explained his thoughts on the Magic. He’s not intimidated by them! He’s only intimidated by bees. Bees huh? As in Hornets? Does Kobe know something that we don’t?

There has been a lot of random news surrounding Kobe recently. Here are a few more interesting thoughts.

    • Kobe continues to charge for his website, a website that he doesn’t provide any of his own original content on. Apparently the trend continues as he’s more than willing to write when the price is right. Chinese based company Sina has signed Kobe to a multi-year, multi-million dollar deal to blog for the Chinese fans.
    • As the Lakers and Cavs continue their winning ways, the Kobe vs Lebron arguments continue. Who’s better? I can’t help but argue for Kobe being the best player after Lebron’s Cavs lost to the Bulls last night. One of the reason’s for their loss was Lebron shooting 1-13 in the 2nd half and missing quite an easy game winning shot at the buzzer. (Kobe would’ve made that!
    • John Hollinger also writes about the MVP race. He rates Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, Chris Paul, and Lebron James, in that order, 4, 3, 2, 1. Who will win MVP in 2009?

Lets talk about two other Lakers, one current and one former.
