Lakers Injury Updates Mid January

    There is always good news and bad news. Let’s just get straight to the point.

    Tonight’s game against the Houston Rockets will potentially see another Lakers player missing in Sasha Vujacic. The Machine missed the team plane to Houston due to back spasms, but the team hopes he will catch a private flight in order to make it for the game. There is no guarantee of him missing this contest, but it would be a real asset to have him in this game.

    Lamar Odom was back at practice participating in a 3-on-3 game and looking good. The bone bruise in his knee cannot be hurt anymore than it already is and therefore leaves only pain tolerance to deal with. Lamar knows how desperately we need his versatility against both the Rockets and Spurs. Hopefully he will be ready to come out and play strong.

    Finally, Jordan Farmar is already going through rehab. After surgery on his knee just two weeks ago, he is in the training facility working on various rehabilitation exercises. Farmar has spent plenty of time in the pool running into the current as well as training on a gravity less treadmill called the Alter-G, the same apparatus Bynum used in his rehab from kneee surgery.
