The Los Angeles Lakers current roster is down to 14. Coby Karl has been cut from the team leaving the Lakers with an open spot heading into the season opener tomorrow night against the Portland Trailblazers.
Coby Karl is the son of Denver Nuggets coach George Karl and his time with the Lakers has made the Karl’s the third father son combination to play and coach in the NBA. Coby played 17 games with the Lakers and surprisingly enough actually managed to get some stats.
Karl reminds me of a JJ Redick type player and I feel that he has potential in this league if he improves his dribbling abilities.
I wish all the luck to Coby Karl and hope to see him again in a Lakers uniform sometime soon. All the best to you Mr. Karl.
For now, lets remember the top memory of Karl of his time with the Lakers:
