Vujacic Fractures Foot
-
According to a press release by the Lakers late yesterday afternoon, Sasha Vujacic has an vulsion fracture of the left ankle and will be kept away from all basketball related activities for 10-14 days.
Team medical staff have said that it is a pre-existing problem for Vujacic that has no relation to the sprained ankle he suffered the first day of training camp. The sprain did however make the fracture slightly worse.
Vujacic says, “I just have to rest but I don’t have time to rest. I want to do everything possible to get back. I want to (play) one or two pre-season games.”
To close things out, Vujacic said, “I heal fast.”
Hopefully thats the truth and we will see Sasha, or shall I say The Machine, back in action shortly. Sasha understands that he will play an integral role on this Lakers team and can be a determining factor to the team’s success. Not only is his shooting great, but his defense is of the better on the team.
