The Los Angeles Lakers have made their first cut of the 2008 preseason. With 19 players going into training camp on Wednesday, the Lakers had to release Dwyane Mitchell to cut the roster down to 18.

Mitchell played for the Lakers Summer League team. He was undrafted however believes to have potential in the league. A team like the Lakers isn’t the easiest one to make because we all know of the teams legacy to strive for perfection. Undrafted players generally don’t play into that role however it happens time to time. Josh Powell has found his spot in the NBA and even Chauncey Billups has made a hell of a career for himself.

Dwyane Mitchell is a 6′5″ 220 pound point guard. With Odom moving to the point, we knew this move would be inevitable.
